Flowtys has always been a brand about innovating in the Web3/NFT space. It started out with our first of its kind ageing technology in the original collection, and by teaming up with well known electronic musician Parov Stelar now we have an opportunity to achieve a couple of key steps forward for the Web3/NFT community together. One such example is yearly redeemable free concert tickets utility attached to some of the rarest pieces of the upcoming Moonlight Love Affair collection.

FIRST OF ITS KIND GENERATIVE MUSIC + VIDEO COLLECTION
Think about a distillery well equipped with all the finest ingredients carefully selected by Parov Stelar. Assortments of bass, drums, keyboards, fills, sound effects, saxophones, trumpets and vocal files, which have all been recorded by Parov Stelar and real musicians, are exclusively topped off by NFT exclusive versions of the actual 13 songs from Parov Stelar’s new album: Moonlight Love Affair.
The outcome, or distillate if you will, is of the essence of Parov Stelar; slightly garnished with elements of his new album. It is something that has never been done before and once the buyer clicks the mint button you will receive your very own generated song NFT, with each song only existing once as an NFT. Buyers will be able to own a piece of music history, which could provide them an exciting amount of utility, or purely satisfaction knowing they own a one of a kind music track and animated video.
All songs of this collection will be unique and very special, but some will have even rarer traits which carry extra bonus utility. Our vision for this collection is that both art forms will have an opportunity to enhance the enjoyment of the other. You have a song, that you can further enjoy by watching your NFT character dance along, and vice versa. This was both to enhance our partnership but to also really think about, how do people enjoy music NFTs in general? So we feel this is a more alluring, engaging way to enjoy your NFT every time you open your wallet.

MUSICAL COMPONENTS

NFT COMPANION FLOWTYS VIDEO
Every song has a generative Flowty dancing like Cab Calloway to the beat. The Cab Calloway dance was historically the first dance moves to be translated from video to cartoon in Betty Boop’s Snow White in 1933, so we found it fitting to revive it for this project. All traits have been carefully drawn and animated by hand in 24 frames per character in the traditional 12 frames per second. All animation work has been done by lead artist and Flowtys co-founder DD himself, no external illustrators were ever hired to paint the Flowtys. Each character is unique in all his traits with varying rarities, adding to the rarity scale of the entire music + music video NFT. Owners will be able to access the Flowty GIF as well as a dedicated profile picture of their MLA Flowty in the Flowtys Studio.

MUSIC/NFT RIGHTS
For the NFTs with Generative Audio, holders can create their own videos for video platforms, audio remixes, memes & other content. Everything is possible except any kind of music sales e.g. on music-streaming- or -download platforms.

NFT CONSIDERATION BY MAINSTREAM
And now onto our other key objective to this collaboration which is a much broader topic, and that is the situation of NFTs and the way they’re considered by more mainstream audiences. At the moment we still see a lot of resistance in many areas of culture with the perception of NFTs. Of course, this is a lot due to the spotlight NFTs received to broader audiences from their rise to popularity in 2021, being the prevalence of many scams and hacks.
So we see it as a duty of innovators in the space to be doing what we can with each new collection, to find ways to connect with these audiences in ways that are more meaningful to them, and help break down some of those barriers. It’s going to be a long and slow process, but it is one that is necessary for the future of Web3. We can hold hope that, as data suggests, NFTs and Cryptocurrencies are adapting faster than the initial launch of the internet.
With the partnership with Parov Stelar in the Moonlight Love Affair collection, we feel we’re able to take a step in this direction. Parov Stelar is one of Austria’s internationally most successful artists and producers. He is a pioneer of the genre ‘Electro Swing’ and played more than 1000 live shows all over the world. Parov Stelar has 1 Million Facebook fans, more than 500 Million YouTube views and more than 500 Million Spotify plays. He has released 10 studio albums, more than 20 EP’s, with his tracks being used in more than 700 compilations worldwide and in numerous TV shows, TV series, TV ads and movies. FLOWTYS
Forever ambitious and innovative, Flowtys started with a debut collection of 10,000 computer-generated cartoon characters, the Flowtys are immortalised on the Ethereum blockchain through Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). Each of the 10,000 characters is hand drawn & animated at the traditional to the 1920s cartoon era of 12 frames per second. Their underlying artistic concept is an ode to the first animated films, with cartoons we all grew up with and grew to love. Flowtys is pioneering the art scene by “ageing” digital art via a specially crafted Smart Contract to “age” it: the longer someone owns the NFT, the older the artwork’s medium becomes. Flowtys also pays homage to public domain characters such as Pinocchio, Snow White, and of course Oswald.
